We are DELIGHTED to tell you that we’ve achieved SILVER Standard in the North East Better Health At Work Awards!
On Friday evening, our amazing team was presented with the award, marking their hard work and commitment in achieving Silver Standard, especially just 12 months after receiving the Bronze award.
The Better Health At Work Award recognises the efforts of employers in the North East and Cumbria in addressing health issues within the workplace.
Our MD, Lucy Craig, is over the moon with the Award: “It’s amazing to win the Silver Award, especially so soon after reaching Bronze level. The wellbeing of our staff – both mental and physical – is really important to us and striving for better health is a key part of our team culture and supporting each other through that journey.”
“I am so proud of the team who have worked extremely hard in encouraging staff to adopt a healthier workplace lifestyle through a variety of engaging and thought-provoking initiatives that promote better health. This includes stress and anxiety support, ‘ride your bike to work’ and ‘Take the stairs’ initiatives as well as sponsored walks, health awareness discussions, and healthy lunch options.”
There are four levels to the Award – Bronze, Silver, Gold and Continuing Excellence, with appropriate criteria at each stage to build into an Award portfolio. Organisations and businesses are given up to a year to reach each level, before they move on to achieving the next.
Loraine Brunton, our General Manager, added: “It was wonderful to achieve Silver Standard and collect the award with some of the team on the night. We have improved the health of staff, right across the board with employees adopting healthier habits and choices while at work, and everyone within our team should feel proud. Gold is our next goal as we continue in our efforts to promote a healthy and balanced working lifestyle.”
