Oh, hasn’t the weather been so wonderful?! We’ve enjoyed every minute of it. Safely with our sunscreen and sun hats we’ve enjoyed plenty of sunshine days including an afternoon well spent playing some games in our beautiful garden this week.
The games provide a great physical and mental activity for residents, encouraging them to get active, socialise and focus on the task in hand.
Kim Stubbs, our activities manager at Cramlington House said: “We played various ball games much to the delight of residents who thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. They were really engaged, and it was clear the activity was having a really positive impact on their wellbeing as there were lots of smiles and laughter ringing around the home for the rest of the day! It’s honestly been so nice recently weather wise and we have really made the most of it, taking full advantage of our beautiful garden. Playing games is important for cognitive development too as it improves dexterity, concentration skills and attention to detail. Such great fun was had – here’s to a long hot summer!”
