Staff and Residents Enjoyed a Day Out at Whitley Bay

Staff and residents from Holywell Care Home recently enjoyed a refreshing day out by the coast, hiring a caravan at Sandy Bay in Whitley Bay for a relaxing and memorable trip.

The outing offered residents a welcome change of scenery, with the calming sound of the sea and fresh coastal air providing the perfect backdrop for a day of relaxation. Spending time outside of the care home environment can have a significant positive impact on wellbeing, and this trip was no exception.

Residents were able to enjoy the comfort of the caravan while taking in the views and playing fun games. For many, the experience brought back cherished memories of holidays and family trips.

The group even went down to the arcades to enjoy all the fun at the fair on the machines and attractions.

Moments like these are invaluable in creating a sense of normality and enjoyment, helping residents stay connected to the world beyond the home. They also strengthen relationships between staff and residents, building trust and companionship in a more informal setting.

The day at Sandy Bay was filled with smiles, laughter and a sense of togetherness, leaving lasting memories for everyone involved.
