Our residents at Cramlington House enjoyed a fun filled Halloween themed day out recently at Whitehouse Farm.
The special Halloween party was organised and hosted by Hays Days, a lovely community group that aims to bring together elderly people to take part in group-based activities that encourages interaction and socialisation with others, to reduce loneliness and isolation.
Talking about the day, our General Manager, Loraine Brunton, said: “We are had a really great time, enjoying a sing along and dance, some lovely lunch and visiting and petting some of the gorgeous farm animals. Ensuring residents are involved and connected to their local community is one of our main priorities. In my experience, it’s vital that we provide a range of settings to promote the wellbeing of our residents whether that’s physical, mental, social, or emotional. Thanks to everyone who was involved in organising our trip both at Cramlington House and Hays Days, the residents had so much fun and had a lot of stories to tell once they were back home!”
