Wow, what a fabulous visit we had from local singer and entertainer, Alfie Dobson!
West Farm residents were treated to an afternoon of song and dance and Alfie certainly didn’t disappoint. He sang songs old and new, developed a great rapport with residents and ensured they had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
Sarah Avery, our Wellbeing Champion at West Farm, said: “Alfie provided a cracking performance and really got residents involved, engaged and fully interactive throughout the afternoon with lots of great singing, dancing and conversation! The atmosphere was fab, and I loved seeing the beaming faces and relaxed bodies across the room. We are already looking forward to Alfie returning.”
Live entertainment is a good activity for residents because it helps to lift spirits, boost mood and improve wellbeing. During a session, and for a while after, residents are more relaxed and comfortable and such performances are a good way to reminisce about past events and also great at making new memories.
