Residents from West Farm Care Centre recently soaked up the sunshine and sea breeze during a joyful day out at the charming Blyth Beach Huts. The outing was a perfect blend of relaxation, laughter, and unexpected encounters that made it truly unforgettable.
The group arrived to find the iconic beach huts painted in cheerful colours, creating a picturesque backdrop for the day’s adventures. With the sound of waves gently rolling in and seagulls overhead, residents settled into their cosy hut spaces to enjoy hot drinks, sweet treats, and plenty of good conversation.
Some chose to stroll along the promenade, taking in the fresh coastal air and watching families and dogs play on the sand. Others simply sat back and admired the view, basking in the peaceful atmosphere that only a seaside escape can offer.
The highlight of the day came when some friendly horses came to say hello whilst with their owners on the prom, delighting everyone with their gentle nature and glossy coats. Residents were thrilled to meet the horses up close, petting them and chatting with their riders. The surprise visit added a magical touch to an already special outing.
Staff ensured everyone was comfortable and well cared for throughout the day, with plenty of support and smiles to go around. The outing was not just a change of scenery, it was a chance to reconnect with nature, enjoy new experiences, and share joyful moments with their friends.
