Cramlington House residents, alongside staff, took part in a sponsored walk this week raising £270!
All funds raised were directly donated to our residents’ fund, which is used to take residents on extra special day trips, social events or contributes towards buying specialist equipment that helps them in their everyday care.
The walk consisted of a mile walk around the care home and nearby area, with everyone going at their own pace. Walking has many benefits, both physical and mental, so it was great to see so many residents and staff get their walking shoes on!
Kim Stubbs, our Wellbeing Champion at Cramlington House, said: “What a fabulous afternoon and great effort from all those involved in our sponsored walk. We’ve all had a great day, enjoying lots of giggles on the walk around and the weather was on our side too. £100 of the total amount was kindly donated by local funeral firm Go As You Please, which we massively appreciate.
“Thank you to all our family and friends who sponsored us, it was lovely to raise the amount we did for worthy causes. We’re looking forward to the next one already!”
