There’s something special about residents gathering at the local pub for a hearty midday meal – it’s one of our favourite things to do! Recently, West Farm residents popped to our local to enjoy some lovely pub drink and refreshments.
When residents come together, they’re not just sharing a meal; they’re strengthening community bonds. They enjoy each other’s company, stories from the week are exchanged, and the simple act of sharing a table fosters connections that might otherwise be missed in our day to day life.
Our manager at West Farm, Zara Karimi said: “It’s about togetherness and simple joy and that’s exactly what a pub lunch does. It’s not just about the food, although that’s undoubtedly a highlight it’s about pausing, even if just for an hour, to relax and enjoy the company of those around us. In times when isolation is all too common, places like our local pub remind us of the benefits of community and the simple pleasure of a shared meal. Residents had a wonderful time and we came back home with our bellies and hearts full!”
