There is so much involved when it comes to providing the right kind of care to our residents. An important element is ensuring we arrange activities that they personally enjoy, that remind them of past memories, encouraging them to reminisce on what they did in their younger years or before they moved into Cramlington House or West Farm.
One such activity that a few residents at Cramlington House have recently discussed is how they used to polish their brass ornaments and house decorative items, as part of their weekly housework duties!
Always on hand to provide activities that the residents benefit from the most, our Cramlington House Wellbeing Champion, Kim Stubbs, organised a fabulous brass polishing activity for those residents who talked fondly of doing it as she knew how much they would enjoy it. As you can see from the photos, residents were really involved in the activity. Kim even sourced some famous brass polish, Brasso!
