Cramlington House residents were joined by Mind Active, a voluntary organisation that aims to improve the lives of older people living in residential care homes, in a recent trip to Plessey Woods.
Residents managed to catch the last bit of the gorgeous summer weather and were able to enjoy a lovely picnic while there, as well as soaking up the scenery and exploring everything Plessy Woods has to offer.
Mind Active had organised a large marquee as well as some entertainment which got residents and carers on their feet to sing and dance the afternoon away!
Our Wellbeing Champion at Cramlington House, Kim Stubbs, said: “It was an absolutely fantastic day and one of the most memorable I’ve had of the summer. The sun was shining, everyone was happy and relaxed, and it was great to visit Plessy Woods and enjoy the company of our residents.
“Mind Active had arranged some great live entertainment which the residents, and us carers, really loved! We sang, we danced, we laughed and enjoyed some lovely food too. Residents created some amazing new memories and it’ll definitely be a trip that they’ll be telling their family and friends about over and over again!”
