We absolutely love live entertainment at Craig Healthcare and it’s been wonderful to open our doors to the amazing music groups and individuals who provide such great performances for our residents.
Recently, accordion player Robert visited Cramlington House to play a variety of old-time singalong music like Daisy, Daisy and other wartime classics as well as some local folk songs. Everyone had a brilliant time, with lots of clapping and singing around the room.
Our activities manager at Cramlington House, Kim Stubbs, said: “Robert is a regular at Cramlington House and a firm favourite with residents. They are always highly interactive and engaged with Robert playing his accordion and singing along to songs that are very familiar to them. Such entertainment is great for their cognitive development, especially those residents living with dementia, as it reignites memories whilst creating new memories at the same time. What a wonderful afternoon of happiness, laughter, and togetherness.”
