We are delighted to be working in partnership with Justice Prince, a local Longbenton charity that supports the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the local community through active engagement and involvement.
As part of a funded initiative to play a role in improving the lives of older people in the community of Longbenton, the charity is visiting residents each week to provide a range of interactive and engaging exercise sessions that are appropriate to the specific needs of those residents taking part.
The sessions are fun, relaxed and also involve a little bit of singing to some classics that residents are familiar with.
Our Manage at West Farm, Trish Giles, said: “The work Justice Prince do for the local community is phenomenal, not just those in elderly care but other vulnerable groups too such as young people or those suffering hardship and feeling isolated. The charity’s person-centred ethos that places local people at the heart of every process is similar to Craig Healthcare’s approach, where the focus is on providing a high quality of personal care based on the individual and their bespoke needs. As well as the exercise sessions, residents also enjoy the good old sing song provided too!”
Justice Prince complement our weekly wellbeing activities perfectly; and are a great addition to West Farm. Residents are already sharing their thoughts and experiences of the sessions with staff and visiting friends and family – it’s definitely receiving a thumbs up so far.
We’re looking forward to sharing photos and feedback from future Justice Prince led activities, watch this space!
