Holywell House opens its own hair salon

We are so excited to tell you that Holywell House, our newest care home, now boasts its very own hair salon – much to the delight of our residents!

Having an in-house salon means residents can enjoy a good old pamper or get their hair or nails done and even enjoy a body massage treatment relevant to their specific care needs too.

We have a salon at Cramlington House which continues to be hugely popular and beneficial to residents so we just know already the impact the new salon at Holywell House is going to have.

Ashley White, our manager at Holywell House, said: “The salon looks absolutely fabulous and we are thrilled with it as our residents. In fact, one resident, Cilla, has just had her hair done recently at the salon and it’s clear to see how much she appreciates it!

“Not only does the salon offer a chance to relax and unwind it always gives residents a taste of normality too as before they moved into Holywell House, but they would also have enjoyed going for a beauty treatment, to get their nails done or visit their hairdresser for a colour or cut.

“It’s amazing to have our very own salon as it’s not something many care homes can offer. It really helps residents settle in and feel at home. And if you’re ever feeling a bit off or having a bad day what’s better than a trip to the salon or beauticians to cheer you up? We’re looking forward to creating a lot of happy and relaxed residents (and wonderful hair) who leave the salon with a huge smile on their face feeling content with life.”
