Holywell House residents enjoy the summer sun

 

 

 

Holywell House residents recently enjoyed an afternoon of pure relaxation and indulgence as they gathered outside to enjoy the sun and an array of icy treats. From delicious ice cream cones and ice cream floats to refreshing ice lollies, the residents enjoyed the simple pleasures of a sunny day

Such a simple and enjoyable activity can evoke memories from the past. The taste, texture, and smell of ice cream can take residents back to carefree summer days and treasured moments spent with loved ones. Coming together to enjoy ice cream also treats fosters a sense of community and camaraderie. Residents engaged in conversations, shared stories, and formed connections, enhancing their social wellbeing.

Our manager at Holywell House, Julie McMurrough, said: “Ice cream has a way of bringing a smile to everyone’s face. The sheer pleasure of enjoying a sweet treat can uplift spirits, improve mood, and create a sense of happiness and contentment. It was lovely to see our residents bask in the sunshine while relishing their favourite frozen treats. It brings a sense of happiness and normalcy to their lives.”
