At Holywell House, fostering a vibrant and engaging environment for residents is a top priority and two residents, Pat and Josie, have taken this mission to heart. After completing dedicated training, the ladies have proudly stepped into the role of Activities Advocates, helping to plan enriching activities for fellow residents and ensuring their interests are at the centre of every event.
Pat and Josie’s journey was supported by the unwavering guidance of Haidee Buckley, a committed staff member whose hands-on approach have made a lasting impact. Haidee’s dedication to face-to-face training didn’t go unnoticed. Her efforts earned her the Manager’s Special Award, a testament to her outstanding mentorship.
As Resident Activities Advocates, Pat and Josie will collaborate with staff and residents to help advise on engaging, meaningful experiences within the home. From social gatherings to creative workshops, their contributing role will ensure that every resident has access to activities that spark joy and promote well-being.
This achievement showcases Holywell House’s commitment to empowering residents and creating a strong sense of community. Pat and Josie’s enthusiasm, paired with Haidee’s exceptional training, will undoubtedly bring a fresh, resident-led perspective to activity planning—making Holywell House an even more lively and fulfilling place to call home.
