Holywell Care Home Hosts Heart-warming Forget Me Not Tea Party

Residents, relatives and friends gathered at Holywell Care Home for a special Forget Me Not tea party in support of Alzheimer’s awareness, enjoying an afternoon filled with music, laughter and community spirit.

Guests were treated to a delicious buffet while entertainment and a raffle helped create a lively atmosphere. The event brought together families and residents to celebrate friendships and raise awareness of dementia in a fun and positive way.

Adding to the occasion was Operations Manager Ray Robson, who joined in the festivities with good humour and even sported a humorous hat, much to the delight of everyone attending.

The Forget Me Not theme provided a fitting opportunity to recognise the importance of supporting people living with dementia, past and present, as well as their loved ones, while also celebrating the power of community and companionship.

Residents enjoyed spending quality time with their families and friends, with music prompting plenty of singing and dancing throughout the afternoon.

The raffle proved popular among guests and helped add to the excitement, with laughter and smiles evident across the home.

Home Manager Zahra Kamiri said: “It was a wonderful afternoon and fantastic to see so many families and friends coming together. Events like this help raise awareness while creating special memories for residents and loved ones. Ray certainly brought plenty of fun with his hat and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.”

Supporting dementia awareness remains an important focus for the home, with activities designed to encourage understanding and celebrate the lives of those affected by the condition.

The Forget Me Not tea party was a tremendous success and highlighted the importance of friendship, kindness and community in making meaningful moments together.
