This week, our operations administrator, Emma Jones, is out in force to nab staff and residents for a cuppa and catch up!
As part of our focus on everyone being unique and catering to the specific needs of the individual, we want to get to know all of our staff and our residents (who are keen to take part) and find out what they’re passionate about, their hobbies, what food they love (and hate!) and why they like working for Craig Healthcare or, if they’re a resident, why they like living at Cramlington House or West Farm.
The chat with Emma also provides a great opportunity to share memories, past and present, and discuss future wishes. For example, if you’re a member of staff, this could mean suggesting a new workplace initiative whether that be staff focused or resident focused. You can also discuss what you rate about working as part of our team, any challenges you’re currently facing, and how you see your own personal career development evolve.
For residents, chatting with Emma offers the chance to discuss what you love about your new home, what your favourite activity is and what meal or snack you enjoy the most. It also enables residents to let us know anything they’d like to do, whether that’s more of a specific activity they currently take part in or something entirely new that they’ve not done while in our care.
It’s always good to hear what their loves in life are as it helps us to create extra special moments for them, such as baking one of their favourite cakes, or getting them a little something that signifies what’s important to them and close to their heart. This applies to our amazing staff, too!
Emma cannot wait to catch up with you all, watch this space…
