West Farm residents have been making the most of the glorious North East sunshine lately, enjoying plenty of time in their garden and outdoor space.
Of course it’s been a difficult time for all during the current pandemic lockdown but we’ve been doing everything we can to ensure residents’ spirits remain high reiterating that the time will come when they can be reunited with their loved ones again when we are allowed to open our doors to visitors.
Last week, we decided to hold a little garden party for residents complete with their sunshade hats to protect their skin from the sun’s rays. As you can see from the photos, they had so much fun!
Zahra Karimi, our deputy manager at West Farm, said: “In such a time of great need, it really is the small things that matter. Residents have really loved the nicer weather of late and it couldn’t have come at a better time given they’re unable to see their families in person at the moment. Long may the sunshine continue!”
Singing, dancing, laughing, smiling, all those things that are simply good for the soul and that’s our main focus at the moment that’s helping to keep our residents healthy and happy.
