The festive season at Cramlington House kicked off in style with a Christmas fair that not only celebrated the holiday spirit but raised over £1700 for our residents’ fund which is used to pay for fun filled days out and specialist care services from external partners.
The event brought together residents, their families, and our dedicated care staff for a day filled with the magic of Christmas. The Grinch, Santa Claus, and his merry elves also came along bringing smiles and laughter to everyone who was there on the day.
These gatherings are crucial for the wellbeing of the residents, providing them with a sense of inclusion, joy, and community. Engaging in the festivities, especially with loved ones, enhances their emotional health and reinforces the bonds between the residents and the staff. It’s a beautiful reminder of the warmth and care the holiday season can bring everyone, especially those in a care home environment.
Kim Stubbs, our activity coordinator at Cramlington House said: “It was fantastic to see all the joy and excitement. The laughter and the shared experiences are invaluable for the wellbeing of our residents. Such occasions remind us of our tight-knit community and the importance of celebrating together.”
