Residents and their families really enjoyed our Bonfire Night celebrations this year. We organised a number of amazing fireworks and enjoyed hot dogs and hot chocolate, keeping residents warm and cosy who watched the delightful display from the comfort of the living room.
Kim Stubbs, our wellbeing champion at Cramlington House, said: “Such an occasion is a great celebration for our residents as they respond really well to the illuminations and array of colours that light up the sky.
“The role of food and drink is important too and specifically selected based on what they might have done in their childhood as well as during bringing up their own families; visiting fireworks displays while enjoying delicious, hot food and drink!
“It was a really enjoyable night and lovely to hear the stories of Bonfire Night activities and celebrations from residents when they were growing up as well as the events they took their children and grandchildren too. Some great stories!”
