Every week, we hold a dance session for residents who enjoy grooving to some of the classics of decades gone by! Mr Motivator arrives at our home and gets residents to dance their socks off.
The residents absolutely love this, and it also gives them a chance to get physically active, and is wonderful for their motor skills, coordination and concentration.
Zahra Karimi said: “We absolutely love and massively look forward to our weekly dance exercises – they bring so much joy to residents’ faces and their moves are fab! Dancing is good for the heart soul and body – and the interaction and social aspects it provides are great too. Mr Motivator is so good with our residents too – he gets them all involved and engaged with plenty of smiles and laughter along the way.”
As well as our weekly visits from Mr Motivator, we also look forward to our bingo afternoons. It’s a firm favourite with our residents and provides an excellent source of mental stimulation, we have some fabulous players who are clearly veterans of the game!
