We recently organised a lovely cream tea afternoon for residents at West Farm Care Centre to give them a chance to spend some quality time with staff and each other, relax and enjoy some delicious homemade scones and sandwiches by our amazing resident chef.
Residents really look forward to our cream tea afternoons as they provide a quiet time in the day to catch up with one another over a nice cuppa and a sweet or savoury treat. They’re able to wind down, discuss the latest goings-on whether that’s with their families at home or what’s happening in the news.
Zahra Karimi at West Farm said: “Organising formal social occasions form an important part of the care we provide at Craig Healthcare as they offer the perfect opportunity for residents to come together and relax, unwind and partake in some feel-good conversation (as well as some delicious scones and tea) that’s good for the soul. From the content demeanours around the room and lovely smiles, we know they’re a favourite with residents who enjoy the one-to-one time with each other or with a carer. It really is good to talk and this is what our cream tea afternoons are all about. We’re already looking forward to the next one!”
