Residents and staff from Cramlington House enjoyed a lovely day out recently with a visit to Manor Walks, combining a little shopping, plenty of conversation and, of course, tea and cake.
Getting out and about in the local community is an important part of life at Cramlington House, and residents were delighted to have the opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery and spend some quality time together.
The group took their time having a leisurely mooch around the shops at Manor Walks, enjoying looking at the displays and taking in the atmosphere. For some residents, it was an opportunity to browse their favourite shops, while for others, simply being out and enjoying the company of friends and staff made for a lovely afternoon.
After their shopping trip, it was time for everyone to put their feet up and enjoy one of the best parts of any day out – a visit to the café for tea and cake.
Residents enjoyed a well-earned cuppa and a delicious sweet treat which was a lovely opportunity to relax after their wander around the shops and enjoy some time together.
At Cramlington House, activities and outings are about much more than simply keeping busy. They provide opportunities for residents to maintain connections with their local community, enjoy familiar experiences and create new memories with friends and the care team.
Trips such as this also give residents the freedom to enjoy a familiar environment in a different way, whether that means browsing the shops, stopping for refreshments or simply watching the world go by.
It was a simple but very enjoyable afternoon, and everyone returned to Cramlington House with smiles on their faces and plenty to talk about.
With good company, a little shopping and tea and cake to finish, it was certainly a day out well spent!
