Covid-19 March 18 2020

Last week we advised we had undertaken a specific cleaning method within our Homes known as ‘fogging’. This is a treatment which is currently being administered throughout NHS sites and adds additional protection to the current virus we are facing. It is extremely safe and is administered on every single surface, including paper. It kills a high level of bacteria germs and viruses and gives us added protection to fight the outbreak we are facing.

As I am sure you can understand stock levels are low and there is a delay at this time for the treatment. It is through a direct contact that we have been able to access this service and we will repeat this in the next weeks as soon as the stock is replenished.

Leading on from this our supplier has delivered a cleaning product this week which is an extension of this treatment. It is a liquid we can spray throughout the Home, in all areas, safely and quickly. The product has been confirmed to kill the Covid-19 virus. It can be used on all surfaces including clothes.

We are incredibly proud of the support we receive from the people around us and confirms our commitment to keep our residents and staff as safe and protected as much as we can. Whilst no product will keep this threat away 100% of the time, rest assured we will do all we can all of the time.
