At West Farm, our residents recently had the opportunity to try their hand at photography, learning new skills while exploring the art of capturing moments. Armed with cameras, they learned about composition, lighting and how to create meaningful images. The session was not only fun but also an excellent way for our residents to engage their creativity and curiosity.
Photography offers numerous benefits for our residents. It encourages them to focus, enhances hand-eye coordination and provides a wonderful sense of achievement when they see their work come to life. The social interaction during the photography lessons also helps to develop a sense of community, as residents share and discuss their photos.
Zahra Karimi, our West Farm manager, said: “It’s amazing to see our residents so engaged in something creative. Photography allows them to express themselves in a new way, and the joy they feel when they see the world through a lens is truly special. This activity is just one of the many ways we try to enrich the lives of our residents, keeping them active, engaged, and excited about learning new things.”
