Our recent fair at West Farm proved to be a big hit among residents, their relatives, staff and members of the local community with lots of people attending.
We had lots going on – food stalls, fun and games and some great prizes for the raffle and tombola that staff kindly organised – and managed to raise an impressive £651!
Every penny raised has been donated to the residents’ fund which is used to pay for outings and experiences for our residents, that form a key part of their wellbeing plans.
Trish Giles, our Manager at West Farm said: “A huge thank you to each and every one of you that came down to our fair, what a fabulous afternoon we had. Residents, their families and staff members really enjoyed the day making the most of the delicious food that was on offer as well as numerous other bric – a – brac stalls. It was lovely to see our residents relax in the company of their loved ones and members of the local community. Well done to everyone who donated too, it was wonderful to raise over £600!”
There was lots of mingling, chatting and everyone got really involved in everything going on at the fair, it really was a lovely day enjoyed by all.
Trish added: “Remaining integrated into their local community is so important to the wellbeing of our residents and events such as our fair are really helpful in enabling this. We really appreciate the local community’s support too; the funds are used to pay for local community activities including trips outs and visits to local social clubs and centres as well as for visits from specialists who provide specific expertise in the field of wellbeing. It means so much to us and our residents and we really appreciate it.”
