Last weekend, we organised a delicious afternoon tea for residents and their loved ones at West Farm and it went down fabulously!
In fact, it was so popular we decided to hold sessions across both Saturday and Sunday so that we could cater for the high volume of interest we had.
Talking about the sessions, Trish Giles, West Farm’s Registered Manager, said: “Afternoon tea is a great way for residents and their nearest and dearest to spend some quality one to one time over a hot cuppa and a generous slice of cake or a tasty scone. It’s a fab way for families to come together and simply enjoy each other’s company. Residents definitely benefitted from the sessions as they were very upbeat, buoyant and relaxed following them. It was lovely to see everyone come together and the uplifting effect this had on residents.”
Our plan is to hold a series of afternoon tea sessions throughout the year, as it’s something the residents really enjoy and look forward to.
Judith Robson, whose mam Muriel Speed lives at West Farm said: “My husband and I really enjoyed our afternoon tea with my mam. The food was absolutely gorgeous and it was so nice to spend some dedicated time with my mam just relaxing and chatting about everything and anything! Thank you so much to all the staff who were involved in organising it, it meant so much to us and we are already looking forward to our next cuppa and cake!”
