Our Cramlington House residents recently enjoyed a memorable afternoon tea organised by Mind Active at South Newsham Pavilion. Mind Active is a local organisation dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults through stimulating activities and social events. Their programmes aim to combat loneliness, improve mental health and keep residents engaged with their community.
The afternoon tea event was a perfect example of Mind Active’s mission in action. Residents gathered in South Newsham Pavilion, where they were treated to delicious tea, cakes and sandwiches. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and conversation, as old friends reconnected and new friendships blossomed.
Entertainment played a big part in the day’s success, with lively performances that had everyone clapping and singing along. The combination of good food, great company, and excellent entertainment made for a truly special afternoon.
Kim Stubbs, our Wellbeing Champion at Cramlington House said: “It was wonderful to see our residents enjoy themselves so much. Events like these are crucial for their mental and emotional wellbeing. The joy on their faces today is exactly why we do this. What a lovely afternoon we all had.”
