Holywell House residents enjoyed a delightful outing to Whitley Bay beach front recently. With the sun shining and a light sea breeze, it was the perfect day for a trip along the coast. Family members and staff volunteers joined the residents to provide support and share in the fun, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time.
The day was filled with joy, laughter and music as entertainer Michael Stevens, who often performs at our home, also happened to be our bus driver for the trip.
Our wellbeing champion at Holywell House, Janet Sothcott, said “This turned into a karaoke bus! Michael had everyone singing along, creating a wonderful, lively atmosphere that made the journey just as memorable as the destination.”
Once at Whitley Bay, residents enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch together, prepared by our dedicated staff, and a refreshing walk along the promenade. The sight of the sea, the sounds of the waves and the feeling of the fresh air brought smiles to everyone’s faces. It was a wonderful day that highlighted the strong sense of community and care at Holywell House. We’re already looking forward to the next adventure with our wonderful residents!
