Football fever is still alive at Holywell House Care Centre as residents enjoyed their very own sporting tournament, swapping the side lines for table football, pool noodle hockey and plenty of friendly competition.
The games sparked laughter, teamwork and a healthy competitive spirit, with residents cheering each other on and celebrating every goal and victory. Along the way, conversations naturally turned to favourite football teams, memorable matches and sporting heroes from years gone by.
As well as being great fun, activities like these help improve mobility, hand-eye coordination and confidence, while encouraging social interaction and shared experiences.
With every game adapted so everyone could take part, the day was a winning performance from start to finish.
