Cramlington House was bursting with festive fun and colourful costumes in December as staff transformed into their “best elves” for the annual Elf Day, raising an impressive £225 for the Alzheimer’s Society. The day was filled with laughter, creativity, and community spirit, making it one of the most memorable events of the season.
From the moment residents woke up, the home was alive with festive mischief. Staff arrived dressed head‑to‑toe in elf attire with pointy hats, stripy tights, jingling bells, and plenty of cheerful smiles. Each team member brought their own twist to the theme, and the effort they put into their costumes didn’t go unnoticed. Residents were delighted, often bursting into laughter as another elf appeared around the corner.
Throughout the day, staff and residents enjoyed a range of festive activities, from Christmas quizzes to sing‑alongs and photo sessions with the elves. The atmosphere was warm, joyful, and full of energy.
But Elf Day wasn’t just about dressing up, it was also about raising awareness and funds for a cause close to many hearts. The Alzheimer’s Society provides vital support for individuals and families affected by dementia, and the £225 raised will contribute to their ongoing work. Residents were proud to be part of the fundraising efforts, and the success of the day is a testament to the dedication and creativity of the Cramlington House team.
