The activity team at West Farm Care Home recently laced up their walking shoes and took to the coastline for a cause close to their hearts. With bright t-shirts proudly displaying the Dementia UK logo, the team embarked on a spirited charity walk that not only raised hundreds of pounds but also brought the local community together in support of a vital issue.

The walk, which followed a scenic route along some of the North East coastline, was filled with energy, laughter, and heartfelt conversations. Passers-by stopped to chat, ask questions about the cause, and even donate on the spot. The team’s enthusiasm was infectious, and their commitment to making a difference shone through every step.

As we all know, dementia affects millions of people across the UK, and raising awareness is key to improving understanding, support, and care. The funds raised by West Farm’s activity team will go toward local initiatives that provide resources, education, and comfort to those living with dementia and their loved ones.
