June was a month of heartfelt appreciation and well-deserved recognition at Holywell House Care Centre, as we proudly celebrated our dedicated team with our Holywell Heroes awards.
These special accolades were created to honour the compassion, commitment, and everyday excellence shown by our staff who go above and beyond to make Holywell House a true home.
Among this year’s shining stars were Christine Dickinson, Debbie Stewart, Mel Wallace, Mary Duggan, Richard Bolton, and Jeanette Blacklock. Each of them was recognised for the exceptional care and love they show to our residents every single day. Whether it’s a comforting word, a helping hand, or simply a warm smile, their contributions make a world of difference.
A particularly special moment came when Lucy Downes received the Outstanding New Carer award. Since joining the team, Lucy has shown remarkable dedication, empathy, and a natural talent for caregiving. Her journey has been guided by the steady support of her mentor, Lucy Riach, who was also honoured with a Certificate of Achievement for her role in nurturing new talent and fostering a culture of excellence.
“These awards are our way of saying thank you,” said Home Manager Julie McMurrough.
“Our staff are the heart of Holywell House, and their kindness and commitment deserve to be celebrated.”
The Holywell Heroes awards are more than just certificates. They’re a reflection of the deep appreciation we have for our team and the incredible work they do. Congratulations to all our winners and thank you for making Holywell House a place filled with warmth, dignity, and care.
Here’s to our heroes – today and every day.
