Holywell House Care Centre recently hosted its annual summer fair and it was a tremendous success! Residents, their relatives, and staff came together for a day filled with fun, laughter and togetherness.
The fair featured an array of exciting activities, with raffles and tombolas a key highlight. Those who attended eagerly took part, hoping to win attractive prizes generously donated by local businesses and supporters. Alongside the fun and games, a variety of small businesses set up stalls offering delicious homemade food including pies, cakes, and jams.
The community’s support was overwhelming and thanks to all involved, an impressive £1,213 was raised. This will be donated to the residents’ fund, which plays a vital role in enhancing their quality of life.
Julie McMurrough, the manager of Holywell House Care Centre, said; “The annual summer fair is always a special day for us. It not only brings our residents and their families together but also showcases the tremendous support we receive from the local community. The funds raised will allow us to provide our residents with unforgettable outings, specialist care activities, and day trips, which greatly enrich their lives. Thank you so much for all of your very generous donations, especially during a time when the cost of living is so high, we massively appreciate it.”
