Cramlington House residents celebrated the King’s coronation in style. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the residents were invited to a grand coronation tea dance organised in collaboration with MindActive, a local sports organisation. The event featured a delightful buffet and captivating entertainment provided by the talented singer Kayleigh Cares. It was a day filled with joy and nostalgia for all involved.
Activities coordinator Kim Stubbs said: “What a wonderful royal celebration we had! Residents were beaming with delight as they twirled and danced, celebrating the crowning of King Charles. In true regal fashion, each resident received a commemorative jar of sweets. These sweet treats evoked memories of a time when such simple pleasures were treasured, bringing back cherished memories for residents. The gesture was a thoughtful reminder of the importance of preserving tradition and honouring historical moments too.”
At Cramlington House, we also organised for Mark McCann to visit residents with his entertaining performance. Laughter, conversation, and shared memories filled the air as residents indulged in delicious food and enjoyed each other’s company. Such celebrations serve as a reminder that regardless of age, we can always come together to celebrate and create lasting, happy memories.
