We absolutely love our afternoon tea occasions at Cramlington House! The sessions are a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together and spend some quality time with their families and loved ones.
Sometimes, all we need is a hot cup of tea, a bit of cake or a nice scone and some company with those we love and value and that’s exactly what the afternoon tea sessions are about. There was such a wonderful buzz right around the room and it was lovely to hear all the chatter and laughter.
Activities coordinator Kim Stubbs said: “Afternoon tea is such a beautiful occasion at Cramlington House. The long-lasting impact they have on residents is amazing. They are visibly happier, less anxious and more relaxed after spending some quality one to one time. These occasions play a key role in residents’ ongoing care as regular contact and communication with their family and friends is really important to their quality of life. Thank you to everyone who helps to organise these sessions and to the family members who get involved. We are already looking forward to the next one!”
