Alongside our staff are two businesses also working tirelessly to help us to minimise infection control as much as we can, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Paul King at Revita (www.revitaclean.com ) is providing Cramlington House and West Farm Care Centre with a ULV Fog where every three weeks he treats every inch of both homes to ensure they are sanitised thoroughly with a long lasting treatment so that the virus can’t persist on surfaces and form a bond lasting 28 days.
Also, our cleaning staff are spraying and cleaning daily with a new cleaner that has been specifically created and tested to kill the virus that cause COVID-19. As well as Revita, we have enlisted the support of Clean Waste Services, which is ran by Matthew and Niall O’Donnell. The company’s high-tech bin cleaning equipment uses environmentally friendly antibacterial detergent kills all bacteria and germs that can live on rubbish bins for up to 72 hours, including the COVID-19 virus.
Talking about the extra cleaning and hygiene measures, our MD Lucy Craig said: “While we fully expect the virus to inevitably enter both homes, with the additional measures we feel we have strongly planned and prepared to inhibit the virus at every opportunity, and will continue to implement very possible measure to try and minimise the risk to residents whilst keeping their health and the health of their carers first and foremost in our minds.
“The pandemic really is a very difficult time for everyone, especially those who have vulnerable loved ones but we want to reassure you that we are doing everything we possibly can to keep residents safe, happy and healthy.”
