We are holding our very first Dignity Day of 2019 on 1st February and we want you to be involved!
Dignity is absolutely a fundamental part of residential care. Whoever the resident is, whatever their background, situation or circumstance, it goes without saying that every single resident should be treated with the utmost dignity, respect and compassionate.
As part of our first awareness day on the importance of dignity and respect in care in enabling a positive experience of care, we are calling for all you great poets out there! We want you to get your creative caps on and put pen to paper, to write a poem that explains what dignity means to you.
There are several different categories for residents, staff members, family, friends and visitors of residents. The best poems will win a wonderful prize and the winning words will be promoted here on our website, across Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, local press and our newsletters and leaflets too! We are also looking for any strong poets who could help us in providing poetry lessons for the staff and residents at Cramlington House and West Farm so that they can develop their own poems on dignity. Could this be you? If so, we would love to hear from you.
So, what are you waiting for? Get your entry submitted now to Emma Jones via emma@cramlington-house.co.uk If you’re able to help with writing poems, please also drop Emma a line!
We can’t wait to read everyone’s poems and wonderful words to find out just what dignity means to you.
